I believe that uniqueness is a defining attribute of nature, as well as art. I believe that the creative process is MORE than machinery, an assembly line, mindless repetition. Beauty is never calculated - it cannot just be copied from a diagram or left in the hands of a computer program. Creation is meant to be spontaneous, like waves crashing on the seashore, a bonfire, a lunar eclipse. A purring cat in your lap, or a marvelous sunset. A snowflake that lands on your palm and glistens for an instant before melting away. You don't plan for these irreplicable moments: they just happen. True art just happens.

It is my mission to let art happen. To create beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces from the elements of nature. Each piece sold on this shop is completely unique. In essentially every piece, I incorporate healing stones or crystals. Crystal healing is an ancient alternative medicine technique that utilizes various natural stones for different purposes. Meditating with these stones, carrying them in pockets, and wearing them as jewelry are all methods of manifesting the crystals' energies into your life. Whether you believe in these techniques or not, my jewelry can make a special and meaningful gift for yourself or somebody you love.

I collect materials anywhere I see something that strikes me. Most of my beads and hemp are from local craft stores. Sometimes I'll find inspiration in a simple beaded bracelet at a thrift store, dissemble it and recycle its parts. Due to my unstructured creative process, and my mission to make each piece unique, I rarely make duplicates of any pieces. So if you see something you like, or something that reminds you of someone, I recommend buying it before anyone else does!

I LOVE CUSTOM ORDERS! It is so much more meaningful to me to be able to make something special for my customers with a specific purpose or occasion in mind. I don't charge any more for custom orders than I would for any of my listed items. I set prices based primarily on how much time I spend making a piece, and secondarily on the value of the materials used. Any piece with woven hemp takes much longer to make than a simple beaded bracelet or necklace. I try to consider these factors and ask myself "how much would I be willing to pay for this?" when pricing items, and I hope you agree with the fairness of the prices. I will also run holiday specials and give discounts to returning customers, so there are plenty of opportunities to save!
